A Heart’s Key Communal Care Alliance is excited to share an important update on where we are in our journey toward launching full programs and services.
Beginning in 2026, we will open our doors to provide comprehensive, culturally aligned, dignity-centered care for Black, Brown, Queer, disabled, aging, and historically excluded families across Indiana.
Our commitment is to build an ecosystem of community care that honors identity, strengthens families, and closes the dignity gap in healthcare and support services.
Where We Are Now- Building the Foundation for Communal Care
Right now, we are deeply engaged in the behind-the-scenes work that ensures our programs launch with excellence, sustainability, and community alignment. Our current efforts include:
- Developing care models rooted in dignity, cultural alignment, and trauma-responsive practices
- Building community partnerships and collaborative networks statewide
- Preparing operational systems, training structures, and resource pathways
- Creating our Community Council and Alliance Partner Network
- Securing funding and support to sustain long-term care programs
- Gathering community insights to ensure our services reflect real needs
This phase is vital. We refuse to build fast, we want to build right.
